Before your child starts nursery they will be allocated a key worker. We feel it is essential that the transition of your child starting nursery is made as easy as possible to ensure that your child feels safe and secure, help them settle in to nursery life and to allow their individual needs to be met.

Your child’s key worker will work in partnership with you to share and record information on your child’s daily well-being, progress and needs. The key worker will share and celebrate the progress of your child. This will be recorded in your child’s progress monitoring pack. This pack will be updated daily and will allow specific activities to be planned around your child’s interests and individual needs enabling them to progress to their full potential.

Your key worker will discuss with you the best way of settling your child in to the nursery, working with your child’s existing individual routine.

Your Key worker will speak to you at the beginning and end of each day to discuss how your child’s day has been and what activities they have been involved in.
