The Roberts Centre runs an activity based Playscheme each school holiday throughout the year for children aged between the ages of 5 to 13.
Play scheme provides the children living in Temporary Accommodation service as an active, stimulating fun time, a welcome alternative to the difficulties they are experiencing in their young lives. If children are new to Portsmouth or the Portsmouth area, it also allows them to make new friendships and explore local attractions. The Playscheme has provided fun, education and consistency for the children and their families at a time when they are experiencing a particularly difficult period in their lives.
Over the last year our Playscheme has provided care to 80 children, offering them different and exciting activities to explore every day.
